The National Standardised Assessments for Scotland (NSA) is a system that includes the Scottish National Standardised Assessments (SNSA) and the Measaidhean Coitcheann Nàiseanta airson Foghlam tron Ghàidhlig (MCNG), which is their Gaelic counterpart. These assessments are designed to help teachers and educators evaluate the progress of students and identify areas where they need additional support.
The assessments are available for children in primary 1, primary 4, primary 7, and secondary 3, and they are delivered online as part of everyday learning and teaching. The assessments in literacy and numeracy are meant to be inclusive and accommodating for all children, including those who require additional support with their learning.
These assessments are designed to be inclusive and accommodating, and they provide teachers with objective, comparable information about the progress of their students. The assessments are aligned with Curriculum for Excellence and the principles of Gaelic Medium Education, and they are an important tool in improving outcomes for all children and young people in Scotland.
